Playing with the camera settings

These photos were taken sequentially on 26 December. The only difference between them are the settings on the camera. I think one was set for automatic ISO, others were set for specific ISO settings (400 and 1600 I think) The difference between the vivid colors and especially the difference in the background lighting is remarkable.

Christmas Eve and Christmas Day 2009

I seem to have lost a day on the blog somehow. The photos of the ring should have been from the 23rd but show here as being from the 22nd...oh well. Here's a few days worth of photos to cover Christmas Eve and Christmas Day 2009.

Christmas 2009, the middle of the country from Dallas to Minneapolis was getting hammered with snow/blizzard conditions. The inlaws were near Dallas so my wife and I did some dogsitting.

Getting ready for Christmas...wrapping presents, being crazy.

The puppies, seem to be thoroughly underwhelmed by it all!

Christmas Day at the Winner's Club - The decorations were festive!

The company was great!

And "Her Highness" slept!

Merry Christmas!

Learning the new camera features

Not many pics today, started reading up on some of the programmable features of the camera. My gosh there's a bunch of stuff this thing can do! Can't wait to play with it some more.

21 December 2009 Photos

21 December 2009 - San Antonio, Texas

From Bottom to Top

Started the day with a couple of shots at The Colonade where the metal "sculpture" below is located. Seeing it in person, there is almost a feeling of it being an optical illusion. In the picture, this effect isn't quite as strong, although it's still an interesting structure.
